EMBRACE

Inner Shelter

EMBRACE is an audiovisual installation about tenderness towards oneself - the need for soothing, acceptance, and inner shelter. Its central form, resembling mist, becomes an embodiment of embrace: a presence that does not reject, judge, or dominate, but receives. It is a soft, pulsating matter that carries the gesture of returning to oneself - with greater gentleness, attentiveness, and acceptance of one’s own sensitivity.

Image, Sound, and Pulsating Matter

The installation consists of a musical composition and a video animation presenting a simulation of mist-like particles. Image and sound do not function here as separate layers, but form one shared organism. The movement of the form is precisely synchronised with the composition - bursts, densities, and pulsations correspond to musical accents, creating a strong relationship between what is heard and what is seen.

Harp, Synthesizer, and Synesthesia

The sound layer combines the warm, acoustic tone of the harp with the soft, saturated sound of the synthesizer. This combination evokes a kind of synesthesia - the image begins to sound, while the sound gains materiality. As a result, EMBRACE is not merely a composition of image and music, but a coherent sensory experience, in which technical precision serves the emotional experience of softness, closeness, and self-acceptance.

The installation was presented as an interactive exhibition at MELT Museum in Warsaw and at Plac Konstytucji during Warsaw Night of Museums.
